// RNZAF Central Band 2007 Tour of the South

Monday 19th -  24th February 2007: The 65 members of the Central Band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force will be winging their way around Southern New Zealand in February 2007, presenting school and public concerts.

These performances by New Zealand’s largest professional symphonic band will be jam-packed with “a bit of something for everyone” with musical variety ranging from the classics to jazz and modern hits, from Dvorak to the Village People.

Conductor: Flight Lieutenant Owen Clarke

Flight Lieutenant Owen Clarke enlisted in the Royal NZ Air Force in 1999. On completion of his basic military training he was posted to Air Staff as the Assistant to the Director of Music with the Central Band. He was commissioned in 2001, and in July that year was appointed Director of Music Royal New Zealand Air Force, taking up conductorship of the Central Band.

Guest Vocalist: Bella Kalolo

Renowned New Zealand vocalist Bella Kalolo has worked in television, film and in live performances and shows throughout Australasia with variety such as Dancing with the Stars, Siones Wedding and the Lion King.
