RNZAF Piper

Murray Mansfield is one of New Zealand's top Bagpipers. He has performed with the country's top pipe bands as a soloist and has had many successes in competition.  In addition to having won every prize that New Zealand has to offer, Murray has also competed with various successes in Scotland, Canada, USA and Australia, including the World Pipe Band Championships held in Scotland, having attended 10 times and gaining a top 10 position twice. He is currently a member of the National Champion Manawatu Pipe Band.

Murray has performed as the RNZAF piper on many important occasions, notably as the Queen’s Piper on her Majesty's last visit, for the return to NZ of the Unknown Warrior, at Gallipoli on ANZAC day and other state and ceremonial occasions.
