// RNZAF Flying Training Elements
To provide trained personnel to meet the requirements of the Air Forces Force Elements, the RNZAF has several flying training units. These units provide initial and advanced training for aircrew before they move to operational squadrons. Four of the units are based at RNZAF Base Ohakea, two at RNZAF Base Auckland, and one in Australia.
The two Auckland based units - No.42 Squadron and the Helicopter Conversion Flight (No.3 Squadron) will relocated to RNZAF Base Ohakea in mid January 2002.
