Operations
The Royal New Zealand Air Force is regularly involved in operations in New Zealand and abroad. Whether it is a search and rescue operation, maritime surveillance or peacekeeping, the RNZAF is doing its bit with professionalism, integrity and teamwork.
In Timor Leste the Air Force is supporting New Zealand and Australian soldiers on the ground to help United Nations and local police create a safe environment for the Timorese people. For more information about this assistance and other overseas deployments visit the Overseas Missions section.
Training is a key ingredient of operational preparedness. To enable us to take part in so many varied operations here in New Zealand and overseas, we must train extensively. See our Training Exercises section for more information.

If it's stories about Air Force life or Air Force people you are after, visit the Air Force News or Feature Stories and News - Our people sections.
The Defence Communications Group (DCG) also produces a number of publications which cater for the public and NZDF personnel.
They include New Zealand Defence Update, which is primarily for an external audience. The unit also produces Air Force News, Army News and Navy Today. The three Service publications are mainly for service personnel but are available to the public.
