A109 LUH (NZ) Specifications

The A109 LUH (NZ) is an advanced training and light utility helicopter.  The A109 LUH (NZ) is a variant of the AW109 LUH, itself a version of the very successful AgustaWestland A109 family of helicopters.
 
The A109 LUH (NZ) has the performance and capacity to perform a wide variety of roles from aircrew training through light utility missions to search and rescue. It will be used for training NZDF pilots and helicopter crewmen destined to fly the NH90 Medium Utility Helicopter and the SH-2G Seasprite naval helicopter.

The A109 LUH (NZ) will also provide support to the NH90 during counter-terrorism activities and will provide light utility support to the NZ Army, Navy and other government agencies.
